Sacred Heart Trust
SACRED HEART TRUST was set up on the 10 th of July 2009 with four Trustee members and registered in Book IV CD Volume no 4, pages 9478 to 9504 being No 03191 for the year 2009 with the Additional Registrar of Assurance , Kolkata, West Bengal India. The sole objective of the Trust was to bring about a change in the operating locality of Picnic Garden in the field of education, women self empowerment, health and hygiene, adult literacy, vocational training etc as the prime focus area .
Our Objective
The Trust also took over the school SACRED HEART SCHOOL started by Anikendra Home and Priyasree Home on the 8th of June 1993 as the first step of providing quality education at affordable cost to the local population. The local population consists of people belonging to the economically weaker sections of society (EWS) with poor literacy levels and low and marginal income sources covering a radius area of 10 km. Apart from the school the Trust also gave medical aid to deserving people in the treatment of cardio vascular diseases and also provided scholarship to deserving students pursuing Classes XI and XII and beyond even up to college level and research which even included cost of books and stationery, hostel fees ,examination fees and Ph.D registration. The Trust is providing educational books, exercise books and stationery, woollen pullovers, shoes to Bolpur Vivekananda Education Society For Rural Development in District Birbhum, West Bengal India, serving over 80 inmates at their residential outlet. This is effective from 2015.
Our Association
The Trust is closely associated with ‘PREMDAN” founded by Mother Teresa which cares for destitutes of the city of Kolkata. Here the Trust gives every year garments and woollens for the inmates. This is effective from 2010 The Trust also coordinates with the local church ‘OUR LADY OF VAILANKANNI” in supplying Christmas food packets to 40 poor persons as identified by the church. The food packet consist of a whole chicken of about 1.50 kilograms, 3 kilograms of rice, bathing soap (1no ), 500 gms of cooking oil and spices. This is effective from 2010
